Stephen Thomas Morgan

Steve Morgan, age 72, made his transition on Saturday April 10, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by sons Matthew Richard Morgan, age 31, and infant son Christopher Stephen Morgan.  He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 52 years, Diane McCarthy Morgan, and two beloved fur babies, Izzabella “Izzy Bells” and Quinn “Quinnie”.

After his retirement as an Actuary, Steve worked full-time in the wine department at the Stonebrook Kroger’s in Jackson, TN.  His legacy is loving care for his wife and four-legged family members.

Over the years many precious memories were made at Granny’s Branch and Bennett’s Creek near Big Sandy, TN, including their honeymoon and 50^th Wedding Anniversary.

Steve loved old time cooking and family recipes, thus, he and Diane frequented the Old 23^rd Restaurant at Christopher Manor.  While they enjoyed their meal, they delighted to the music provided by Drake Cunningham.

A gathering “The Celebration of Life” and memories will be held May 16, 2021, 2PM, at 288 Wynn Road, Big Sandy, TN, 38221 at the Food Shack on the farm of cherished family friends David and Consuelo McDaniel.  You are asked to bring a beloved, heirloom recipe side dish to share with family and friends.

Steve and Diane’s life together has come full circle in its beginning and ending here.
