Howard Clifton Stockdale

Mr. Howard Clifton Stockdale, age 83 passed away on January 25, 2020 at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, TN. Mr. Stockdale was born on March 6, 1936 in Big Sandy, TN to the late James Dennis Stockdale and Etta Allen Stockdale. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Clell, Carneal, Charles, Odell, Bennie, Paul, Plaught, J.D., Davis Stockdale; sisters Lorene Pritchett and Sue Lee. Mr. Stockdale was a retired janitor with the Taylor, MI school system and he worked as an assembler at the Massey Ferguson Plant in Detroit, MI.

Survivors include:

Daughter: Anderia (David) Hudgens of Murfreesboro, TN

Step Grandson: Erich Hudgens of Murfreesboro, TN

Nieces and Nephews: many in Big Sandy and Michigan 

Sister in Law: Marie Stockdale

Mr. Stockdale enjoyed doing crafts especially ceramic pottery and painting. He also enjoyed going to the dance hall in Camden on Friday nights and hanging out at the Big Sandy Senior Citizens Center. He was the treasurer of the Stockdale Cemetery for many years. Mr. Stockdale always liked to put together family reunions or high school class reunions when he moved back to Big Sandy from Michigan. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 12 noon at the Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Camden, TN., with Bro. Troy Redmond officiating. Burial will follow in the Stockdale Cemetery in Big Sandy, TN. 

Visitation with the Stockdale family will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 10:00-12:00 pm.
