Dennis James Carter

Dennis James Carter Sr., age 67, of Gary, Indiana, went home to his Heavenly Father on April 17, 2023, at his home in Big Sandy, TN. He was born on September 27, 1955, to Roy and Charlotte Carter.

 

Dennis was a father and grandfather and is survived by his loving family; his children: Trisha (Chris) Cannon, Heather King, and Dennis (Michelle) Carter II; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister Debbie (Dale)Lightfoot and his former wife Sandra Davis. He was preceded in death by brothers Roy Carter, Gary Carter, Bobby Carter, and sister Shelba Dilda. 

 

Dennis was a retired diver and a member of Faxon Baptist Church. He loved woodworking, gardening, fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles.

 

Dennis Carter Sr. is to be cremated. His wishes were for a private family gathering.
