Carl Edward Dowdy

Carl Edward Dowdy, age 93, of Big Sandy, Tn., passed away on February 22, 2020 at Paris Healthcare in Paris, Tn. Mr. Dowdy was born on July 28, 1926 to the late Truman Dowdy and Maggie Pitts Dowdy. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Terry Dowdy and Bertie Dowdy. Mr. Dowdy retired from U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in 1990. He drove a school bus at Big Sandy School for 19 years.

Wife: Frances Atchison Dowdy of Big Sandy, TN.  

Sons: Ricky (Teri) Dowdy of Big Sandy, TN.

          Kenith (Linda) Dowdy of Big Sandy, TN.

Granddaughters: Tiffany (Stephen Anderson) of McKenzie, TN

                         Pamela (Josh) Taylor of Lafayette, LA

                         Robin (Jimmy) Turrentine of Las Vegas, NV

Great Grandsons: Josh, Luke, Wyatt and Chad (Shannon)

Great Great Granddaughter: Holly   

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 1: 00 PM at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Big Sandy, TN. with Bro. Russell Ragsdale and Bro. Chad Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation with the Dowdy family will be Monday, February 24, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Big Sandy, TN. and again on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 8:00 AM till service time at 1:00 PM

Masonic service will held Monday night at 7:00 PM.
