Bonnie Fae Hayse, 89, of Pekin, Illinois passed away at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois.
Born October 12, 1932 in Big Sandy, Tennessee to Sammie and Sylvia (Lower) Bevill, she married James Meals on July 5, 1953. He died on August 19, 1963. She later married Ralph A. Hayse on October 26, 1968. He died on January 6, 2017 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marybelle “Myrt” Flowers and Wilma Bevill.
Surviving are four children, Lori (Ron) Davis of Pekin, Sandy (Dave) Arnold of Bloomington, Doug (Kelly) Meals of Washington and Greg (Mary) Meals of Phoenix, Arizona; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Allen (Yvonne) Bevill of Wilmington, North Carolina; two sisters, Betty Winters of Louisville, Kentucky and Gayle DaDa of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and one brother-in-law, Thomas Flowers of Big Sandy, Tennessee.
She enjoyed walking, crocheting and baking for anyone and everyone. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family most of all. Her favorite vacation was to New York City. Bonnie had worked in real-estate and insurance for many years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Pekin.
Her visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where a funeral service will be held immediately following at noon. Pastor Timothy P. Collard will officiate. Further visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Big Sandy, Tennessee, with a funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral in Ramble Creek Cemetery.
