Billie Ann White

Mrs. Billie Ann White, age 77, of Big Sandy, TN. passed away on August 16, 2020 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. Mrs. White was born on March 14, 1943 in Red Bay, MS. to the late William Tharp and Sibyle Hester Tharp.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Don White, sister Andra Pappas, special nephew Scott Tharp, sister in laws Pat Tharp, Peggy White, Martha White, Betty White, brother in laws Joe White Jr., Charles White, Bobby White, Walter Stokley, Randy Mann, David Tallos, William Pappas. Mrs. White retired from ANCO Corporation. Those who knew Billie Ann know she never met a stranger. She loved to talk to people and help them in any way she possibly could. She was well known everywhere she went especially at “Moms & Pops Pizza” in Big Sandy, TN. It was there she made a new family who adopted her has “Granny”. Billie Ann enjoyed making fleece blankets for her friends and loved ones. Her biggest passion may have been shopping whether it was for new outfit, a gift for someone special or colleting antiques.

Sister in Law: Brenda Mann

Nieces: Tamara (Dennis) Flanagan, Debbie (Mike) Escue, Pam (Alan) Lewis,

Charlotte (Steve) Cannon, Diane (Claude) Cochran, Lucy (Rusty) Trim

Nephews: John William Tharp, Kirby White, Terrell (Marilyn) Stokley, Ral Stokley

The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to her close friend Diana Quinn for taking special care of the home and beloved dog “Buddy”. Trisha Davis who would dog sit so Billie Ann could go on vacations to visit her family all over Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Indiana. Harold (Maxine) Phifer, her best bud who took care of anything that needed to be done in and around the house including planting her garden and Darren Stepp who maintained her vehicle and yard over the years. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alive Hospice facility.  

Graveside Service will be Friday, August 21, 2020 at 11:00 am at Trinity Cemetery in Nutbush, TN. with Arthur Hardin officiating.  

Visitation with the White family will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Big Sandy, TN. from 3:00-7:00 pm.
