Barbara JoAnn Hester

Ms. Barbara JoAnn Hester, age 87, of Big Sandy, TN, passed away on March 12, 2021, at her residence in Big Sandy.  She was born on October 29, 1933 in Memphis, TN, to the late Edward and Beth Harrison Eldridge.  Also preceded in death by her husband; Robert Wilson Hester, daughters; Laura Dawn Rogers and Kimberly Jones, and a sister; Sherry Dougherty.  Ms. Hester was a homemaker and graduated from Ole Miss with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a member of Big Sandy Church of Christ.

Son: Robert Wilson Hester of Olive Branch, MS

        Shane Eldridge Hester of Big Sandy, TN

Grandchildren: Brandon Hester, Tommy Joe Rogers, Kesha Rogers, Ty Young, Amber Thomas, Dylan Jones, and Caitlin Hester.

Great Grandchildren: Kayle Rogers, Caleb Joe Rogers, Jeremiah Rogers, Mason Young, Miles Thomas, Harlan Thomas, Callie Jones, Bennett Allen Jones, and Dawson Jones.

A memorial service will be Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 1 PM, at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home, Big Sandy, TN, with Gary Smithson officiating.

Visitation with the Hester family will be Saturday, March 27, 2021, from 12 PM – 1 PM, at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home, Big Sandy, TN.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Big Sandy Church of Christ.  The family has chosen cremation.
