Alene June Payne

Alene June Payne, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Claiborne & Hughes Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, TN. Mrs. Payne was born on July 17, 1938, in Oakdale, TN to the late Andy Ruppe and the late Delcie Easterly Ruppe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Payne; and sisters, Pauline Ruppe, Pat Stephanitis, Rema Wentworth, Emma Wilmoth, and Wanda Smith. Mrs. Payne was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of Mt. Carmel Congregational Methodist Church in Big Sandy, TN.

Sons: Clarence Payne of Big Sandy, TN and Darrol (Janice) Payne of Hillsboro, TN

Daughters: Pam (Steve) Allbrooks of Franklin, TN and  Darla (Mark) Jones of Honea Path, SC

Sister: Carolyn Quirino of Xenia, OH

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home, Big Sandy, TN and again on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Congregational Methodist Church, Big Sandy, TN.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11 AM at Mt. Carmel Congregational Methodist Church, Big Sandy, TN with Bro. Joey Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
