James W. Hargis, age 75, of Prospect passed away Friday, November 8, 2013. He was a very loving, helping and generous man. James will be missed by his loving wife of 56 years(Delma). He never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. He was a 1956 graduate of Big Sandy High School and attended Lambuth College in Jackson, Tn. James was a pipefitter and retired in 1997 from Ford Motor Company after 39 years of service. He, was also, an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling and loved U of L Basketball. He was proud to be a regular blood donor, having donated over 13 gallons. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will take place on Monday at Bakers Chapel Cemetery in Big Sandy,Tn. Expressions of sympathy may be given to The Mattingly Center, 1520 Baxter Ave.,Louisville, Ky. 40205 visitation will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Stockdale in Camden. Bro. Dean Emerson will officiate the service.
