Howard Stephen Joyner, Jr., "Steve", recently passed away unexpectedly in Camden, Tennessee at the age of 72. Steve was born in Buena Vista, TN September 29, 1943. Raised in Bruceton, TN, his love for music developed at an early age and continued throughout his life while playing lead guitar with various bands, most recently with the "Classics" alongside life-long friends. He retired from the Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers Union. Steve loved Jesus and was an active volunteer at his church, First Cumberland Presbyterian in Camden, TN, as well as, often attending and playing music for Camden's First Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Stephen Joyner, and parents, Howard S. and Helen Joyner. Survivors include his daughter, Amy Joyner Cartwright, son-in-law, Cal Cartwright, Jr., granddaughters, Claire Bousquet and Adair Cartwright, grandsons, Joyner Bousquet and J Calvin Cartwright and friend, Sandra Joyner Beal. His joy, love, and laughter were contagious and will be missed by many. Family will receive friends at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Camden, TN, Friday, October 30th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. followed by a brief memorial.
