Betty Jane Bucci passed at home surrounded in love and the Presence of the Lord on November 17, 2015. Both her daughters, a special friend from Landmark and a social worker from hospice were there with her. Her funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00am at the Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home. Reverend Charles Hardy of Dyer United Pentecostal Church will conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place following the services in Eastview Cemetery. Survivors include her two daughters: Teresa Cain(Darrel)Miller and Shelia Cain(Rocky)Crandall, three sisters,Wanda Jones Kirk, Ruth Jones Johnson and Deborah Jones(Darrell)Gammons, two brothers,Jerry(Hilda)Jones and Samuel(Debbie)Jones, grandson, Johnathan Thomas(Angela)Scola, four grandsons,Stephen Eric Guess,Benjamin Aaron(Meaghan)Scola, Zachary Colin Guess and Trent Guess, and three great grandsons, Tyler Michael Scola, Benjamin Cooper Scola and Maddock Aaron Scola.She was preceded in death by her father, Newell Wallace Jones, mother, Tossie Mai Jones and brother, David Aaron Jones.Betty was a prayer warrior and a worshipper. In 1964, she and her husband, Tom Cain, were foundering members of the Whitehaven United Pentecostal Church in Memphis, Tennessee where she served as the church organist, sang solos, choir member and taught Sunday School.Betty was a talented seamstress and would sew for her girls and herself and would construct with and without patterns matching dresses for the three of them. During her life time as a seamstress, it was one of her duties to mend clothing and costumes for Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis.Pallbearers will be Rocky Crandall, Eric Guess, Sam Jones and Jerry Jones. Honorary pallbearers include Johnathan Scola, Ben Scola, Zach Guess and Sam Guess.The family requests that visitation be held November 20, 2015 from 4:00pm-8:00pm and resume Saturday morning from 9:00am until time of service.
