James Oakley Allen

James Oakley Allen, age 85 of Big Sandy, TN passed away at his residence Thursday, March 23, 2017. Mr. Allen was born June 6, 1931  to the late Lafayette Allen and Rena Dillon Allen in Big Sandy, Tn. He was the eighth of nine children.  He was , also preceded in death by his wife: Gaytha Brewer Allen, daughter: Janet K. Allen and seven of his siblings. Mr. Allen was a life long hunter and enjoyed being outdoors in his native Benton County.Survivors include:Daughter: Linda(Harvey)Grounds of Chattanooga, TNGranddaughters: Tina Snider of Big Sandy, TN                          Sonya(Adam)Thomason of Atlanta, GAGreat grandsons: Cain Snider & Drake Dengler of Big Sandy, TNSister: Billy Jean Cuthbertson of Paris, TN.Funeral Services will be held at Saturday, March 25, 2017 11:AM at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Big Sandy, TN with Greg Hauck officiating. Interment will follow at Ramble Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the Allen family will be on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 9:00 AM until service at 11:00 AM
