Coy Lee Johnson

Coy Lee Johnson, age 93 of Bellville, Michigan, passed away on August 4, 2018 in Alma, Michigan. Mr. Johnson was born on October 14, 1924 at his family's farm off Birdsong road. Coy was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Marine Corps., in the Pacific Theatre. In 1943 Coy married the love of his life, Helen Walker, who he met while she waited tables at the Blue Goose Cafe, on the court square in Camden. Together they shared life, never leaving one another's side. Coy was the loving father of 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Coy was a loving and devoted family man who was heavily involved in their lives and was adored by all. Coy had a large extended family who loved and adored him. He was always available for comfort, love and support. He was left heartbroken in 2003, when the love of his life, Helen preceded him in death. Coy was a retired Teamster and a Master Mason for life, Lodge 520. Coy was preceded in death by his parents: Ross and Susan Johnson; his wife, Helen Johnson; his brothers Clyde, Claude, and R.C; and his sisters, Bell Moore and Pearl Joyner.

Daughters: Linda (Linda Louise) Ferguson of Michigan
                 Tricia (Patricia) Smith of Michigan
                 Sue (Carroll Susan) Donovan of Michigan


Visitation with the Johnson family will be held at Stockdale-Malin Funral Home Chapel in Camden on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm and again on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10:00-12:00, with graveside services to follow at Eastview Cemetery, in Camden with Bro. Jeremy Poole officiating.
